China has a thing referred to as Black Jail. Right now, one of the people they have locked away is the wife of Liu Changming, a man accused of joining the billionaire club by stealing money as a Chinese official -- shocker! -- via a massive fraud scheme. Out of the reach of the Chinese government, they nabbed his wife.
Most people realize the Chinese government does not play, especially the Chinese, but this wife, knowing her husband is amongst the most wanted in China, went to visit an ill relative on a lush Chinese island. She brought along two children. These children are not being held hostage as guests of Black Jail, but they have been banned from leaving the country. The government wants daddy.
Mom in jail and dad a fugitive, the two youngsters want to get back to the promised land of Chinese monied criminals, the U S of A. They told authorities that daddy cut ties with the family in 2012. Still, the Chinese government is suspicious. They want daddy, and the ~$1,400,000,000 they think daddy funneled elsewhere.
