It Won't Make You Rich

There seems to be a lot of support to heavily tax the 'wealthy' -- whoever that is -- but one should remember that taking away from the wealthy will not make you rich, nor will it make you feel wealthier, and at the end of the day they will still be rich. What should be looked at is how these people are enriching themselves by their relationships with those in power, politicians.

Help the Rich

It is important that the idle rich have their whims catered. Of course their ideas are better than anyone else's, they are rich so have the time to use their big brains to come up with grand ideas of how to make the world a better place for them all. Though, you do not expect them to use their own money to implement and test their ideas, do you -- even ideas that have previously failed? Then what is the point of cronyism?

Eat the Rich! (Except Me)

The thing about those who spend a significant amount of energy bashing the rich is that they really, really want to be rich. The US recently had a president that signaled he wanted to go after the rich, but those were words. We now have actions to measure against. (Remember, before taking the office of the president, he was not rich.)

Since leaving office, President Obama has become fabulously wealthy. Adding to his ridiculous after-office largess, are the generous benefits given to former Presidents of that country by its government, its people. He wants it all, and more!

Really, this is news!? Billionaires wanting to use their wealth for influence is news? Come on, influencing politicians has helped many of them accumulate their incredible wealth. (Where would Elon Musk be without those government handouts? Still wealthy, but...)

For those surprised: What billionaires want: the secret influence of America’s 100 richest

Leonardo DiCaprio does not appear to know. They are/were 'friends'. Amanda Kerr and Paris Hilton, both of whom he was linked to (romantically?) when he was spreading the wealth around freely, do not seem to know. They took his big boat Equanimity from him, so he had to relocate. But where, oh where, has he gone?
